i ws out for five and a half months due double hip replacement. ll fmla paperwork was filled out. now my employer tells me he does not have a place for me and does not have to give me my full time hours back

FMLA lasts for 12 weeks. If you were out for five and a half months, your FMLA expired two and a half months ago and your employer legally does not have to bring you back at all, let alone at full time.
