I was pulled over last night (Washington State, King County) for a marked lanes violation and failed a sobriety test, blowing .128. I'm 27 years old and this is my first time being in trouble; my record is otherwise completely clean.

I was initially placed under arrest and brought to the station to complete a breathalyzer. I was complacent and respectful of the officer throughout the process, which he appreciated, and I was allowed to go home after paperwork was completed rather than the usual overnight jail stay he gives for DUI arrests.

I'm pretty scared as I've never been in trouble before. I consider myself a good person who made an extremely stupid mistake, and I'm wondering what my options are at this point.

You need to talk to a traffic law attorney. Plead not guilty to the charge. The attorney will tell you your options & get you the best outcome possible. Talk to no one but your attorney.
