The school that my son attends started a new program to buy school lunches. It gives you the ability to keep money on an account on line so that they do not have to carry lunch money to school each day. The way it works is they fingerprint the child and when they go through the lunch line they enter their fingerprint and their account comes up on the computer along with their picture. I understand this could be a very valuable tool to save time in the lunch line, but, I am not comfortable with them fingerprinting my child and putting it online. Now, they did send home a form to sign if you wanted to sign up for this program. I did not sign the form but they fingerprinted my son anways. I am very upset that they did this without my permission. I was just wondering what recommendations you would have as to what our rights are. We live in the state of Ohio.
