fathers name

if an unborn childs father dies before his birth is there anyway to give the child his fathers name, since there is no one to sign birth certificate. the parents were not married.?

The mom is free to give the baby any name she wants, so that should not be a problem.

Now as far as establishing legal paternity post mortem, not sure but generally DNA is saved and she can file for a Social Security claim but obviously a DNA test will likely be required.
