Me and my ex-husband have a 5 year old son together. I have full custody and he has the every other weekend. We did live in the same town, but he has now got remarried and moved to another state. Do I legally have to let my son go visit him out of state? He's not a responsible parent and has done same bad things in the past, and I just do not trust him with my son by himself. I'm just wondering where I stand with this, I would like for my son to see his father, just not out of state. If something happens, I can't just rush 8 hours away. Please help!

If the court order reads he gets visits then he gets visits. Denying these visits places you in contempt. However since there is now a distance you might petition for modification of visitation. I will further speculate that since he created the distance most or all of the transportation cost will be on him

You probably will have to go to court and get the visitation order updated, but it sounds like Dad had unsupervised visits before, he will likely still get them. Him moving out of state does not matter. since Dad is the one that moved, he likely will have to provide all the transportation to visits.
