We have been trying to get the insurance information from the district attorney and Lapd for the fatality of my sister-in-law from a hit and run driver. To help with all the expenses that have occurred from her untimely death.

Didn't you get a copy of the police report? Isn't the driver's insurance information in the report?

If no to both questions, I suggest the representative of your sister-in-law's estate (her husband?) hire an attorney for a wrongful death claim/lawsuit.

It's unfortunate, but nobody's going to hand anybody any money any time soon.

How can the OP be sure that the police even know who the driver was since he left the scene?
