ex wife will not keep contact with me just my things

so its just that simple my ex-wife recieved my belongings shortly after we seperated. she gave me about a quarter of my things. my guestion is this. how do i go about getting the other 75% of my things? i have her current address but i think if i could get her to email me that she still has them that would help in getting a court order for her to hand over the rest of my things the trouble is in making contacts

Sue the bad person in small claims court for the total of damages you suffered.

Some states allow you ask for the actual stuff back; other states allow you to sue for money only.

The court will decide if your proof is good enough.

The county she lives in does not appear to have a small claims court. Just a Supreme Court and Circuit Court. What do I do?

So after reading into it the state only allow $3000 or under for small claims court. I think she had more than $3000 worth of things. The next step is for a civil dispute. Should I get a lawyer?
