Roomate Eviction of a roommate

My husband and I are renting a home and his cousin came to live with us for about 5 months. His name is not on the lease, but he did agree to give us $350 a month to help put towards rent. Things have not worked out and we have asked him to leave. He has not come to pick up any of his stuff. How do I go about evicting him and getting his stuff out of the house.

Was your landlord aware of the subletting? It appears he has left but his belongings remain. You need to notify him in writing to pick up his stuff within 30 days send this certified mail or some means you can validate. Contact an Attorney or Police to see how long legally you must hold belongins once he is notified and how long you must keep belongings if you cannot contact him.
