Hi, I was recently charged with a felony embezzlement of controlled substance by employee. While employed at a pharmacy, I knew someone who had a legal prescription for xanax. The first time, I didn't realize that I had miscounted, until he told me later that there were more than there should have been. This happened a few times, totalling in about 30-40 pills, which came to retail value of $19.98, which I paid back to the company. I willingly turned in my pharmacy technician license, and have been nothing but cooperative. I have no prior convictions at all. I was released with no bail as well. I have since then enrolled in college, and a felony conviction would mess up my financial aid, forcing me to drop out. What would be the chances of an attorney being able to get this charge reduced to at least a misdemeanor, if not dropped completely?
