My jurisdiction is: California/Sutter County

My boyfriend is 17 and we are pregnant. He is still living at home with his mother. We both want him to get a job to support the baby, but his mother won't allow it. We are trying to find a way around her, but as long as he is still living with her it seems that there is no option, but to listen to her. We are wanting him to move in with me and my family, but my mother doesn't want that until he can support himself. His mother is barely allowing him to see me, talk to me, and he isn't allowed to go to the baby's appointments. Recently, we exchanged some unkind words and things are even worse. His mother is very unkind to him, she is always telling him that she hates him and things like that. She makes him miss school to watch her child and niether of us feel that is right when she insists that he can't go to the baby's appointments because he would have to miss school. Basically I was wondering what we can do legally about him getting a job and him leaving the house if once my parents say it is okay, she changes her mind (as she often does).

YOUR parents cannot give him permission to do anything. Only HIS parents can. If they won't give permission that's the ball game.
