It might impact you. There are a number of different variables at play, especially if there was an aggravating factor with your conviction. My understanding (don't quote me on this) is that Texas does not consider a first time offense with no aggravating factors (no priors, no children in the car, no other offense issues simultaneously) a crime of moral turpitude. Still, you probably want to keep an experienced immigration attorney's phone number handy. Good luck.
