I have a CT drivers liscense and recieved a ticket in Mass. I paid the ticket and was told that the CT will not be notified and therefore no points will go on my license. Is this what normally happens?

Also, if CT is not notified then is there no evidence of this ticket existing. That is, will it appear on my driving record, and will an insurance company be able to discover it.

State to State Reporting of Speeding Tickets

Mass and CT are both members of the Nonresident Violator Compact of 1977. This means that Mass is supposed to report the speeding ticket to your home state and it will show on your MVR for the insurance company to raise your rates.

You may have had an agreement witht he court that it would not be reported. The only way to know for sure is to order your report from the DMV in about ninety days.
