Driveway entrance

My sister has a house in a private Christian community. She doesn't own per say the property (lake association does). Yet, she purchased the lot her house is on and pays yearly assessment. The lake association had the main roads re-paved. For some reason when the paver came to their driveway it raised up causing a big rise in the roadway to their driveway entrance. The small blacktop apron to her gravel driveway now has a huge bump. It causes her car to drag on this hump. Who is responsible? Shouldn't the paving company or the lake association be responsible to put her driveway entrance back to a usable entrance?

Thanks for any information.

Has she spoken to the lake association about it as they had the road paved? That would be the first thing to do.

Yes, That is the first thing she did. They say they are not responsible for her driveway entrance. Of course when she mentioned that she could have the asphalt ground down they didn't like that ideal. We have packed gravel to help with this. Once it rains a few times the gravel gets pushed back down the driveway.

I would write a letter to the association and let them know that they will be held liable for damages to the undercarriage of her car and that they either fix the hump or give her permission to have it done. If they don't answer then probably the cheapest fix would be to have a paving contractor pave a small apron on her side of the hump.
