Hello, my boyfriend and I have been together for a little over three years now and have lived together the entirety of our relationship. We are now breaking up and he is trying to force me out of the house on his terms. He does own the house and my name is not on it, however I am the one who maintains the household. What are my rights as far as him getting me out? I do not wish to stay long but I am not able to leave until I am able to get a job, and an apartment. Thank you

None.

You are a guest, maybe a tenant if you have been contributing money to the house and can document it.

One way or the other he can eventually file for eviction and have you put out by the courts so get a job and an apartment ASAP as your days are numbered.

Lesson for the future: Don't live with boyfriends or fiances and don't get financially involved with them.

I hope you were smart enough not to have children without being married.
