Does father need to pay child support if he signed away his rights during adoption

My husband and his ex decided to put their unborn child up for adoption. My husband signed away his rights when he put the child up for adoption. His ex decided to keep the baby and now she's filed a court order for child support. Does my husband have to pay?

I see this every day, no your husband signed his rights away, therefore he has not rights to this child and no obligations either.

If the court terminated his rights, then he should not have any obligation. If mom decided to keep the baby at the last minute then she should be on her own, unless some paperwork got bungled in the process. Generally, the rights are terminated, then the adoptive family adopts all within a close range of each other to avoid this. Did an attorney handle this?
