Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse Does being in a different county make a difference?

If you are out of jail on recog with 2 class x felonies pending and get caught with 2.5 grams of marijuana in a different county, does that make a difference? Someone had told me that when you get in trouble in a different county that they can't use your previous record against you. This didn't sound right to me. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

They may have been confused, as from what I'v e read I'm not sure what your record is. Since you haven't been convicted of 2 felonies yet, the next county can't act as though you were convicted and give you a stiffer sentence on the marijuana charge if the felony conviction bumps the marijuana possession to a higher level crime.
