My first husband and I have been divorced for 6 years now and at the time we divorced he was making very little money so my child support is not very much. My ex now makes alot more money and I think he needs to pay more child support because my kids medical insurance has increased substantially since we got divorced. I talked to my ex the other day and told him he needs to be paying me more since the kids medical insurance is now ALOT higher and it comes out of my check thru my employer and he said he would talk about it but i haven't heard back from him. My question is do I need a lawyer to get child support modification or can I call the attorney general? A lawyer is going to cost quite a bit and I don't really qualify for legal aid.

You should not need a lawyer for this. Have you tried going through the AG office or child support enforcement website? You should be able to apply for a review.

Just an FYI, although you are probably entitled to more support, this can trigger custody/visitation battles.
