Hey guys. I'm sure you get new people in an out of here alot but obviously I'm a new guy.
Anyhow, reason for posting is I'm wondering if I have any rights to a child that isn't biologically mine.
Story is my ex claimed that I was the father of her child. I was there at birth and I signed the birth certificate. Said ex, child and I lived together for 2 and a half years. I supported both the whole time. In July, we split and ex and lets me know that she is telling the biological father that he has a daughter. Leaving me with nothing and taking away from what I considered my daughter. My name is still on the birth certificate. Do I have ANY rights whatsoever? I chose when she told me that she was going to tell the real father not to pursue a relationship. This was 6 months ago.
I'm just wondering if I were wasting my time if I were to pursue something out of this.
