Divorced mom trying to get full physical custody

I am living in Florida and I am trying to get full physical custody of my kids. I also want to move back to Massachussetts. That is where we were all born and raised. My kids want to move back. Right now they spend some of their time at their fathers house and he lives with his mother. The kids do not like her. She calls them names and talks badly about me.
I'm not sure what I need to do. I can not afford a lawyer.
Please help us.

Are you divorced yet? Is there a custody order? You'll likely have to get permission from the dad or the courts to move. You'll have to prove it is in the courts best interest. If you are allowed to move, plan on paying for transportation for visits. Even if you get full custody, it does not mean you can move, that is a seperate provision.
