A friend of mine is getting divorced. He and his wife have an eight year old daughter. He is a good father, pays his child support, no abuse or neglect, etc. He is seeing someone else and they plan to move in together as soon as his house sells. Is it possible for his wife to have a stipulation added to the divorce decree that she doesn't want their daughter around any other females? Even for a period of time?

The daughter not be allowed to be around any other females? Hardly.

However, my husband and I did have a stipulation in our divorce decree regarding "sleep overs" with members of the opposite sex when we each had our sons (we shared joint custody)...until our sons were age 18.

However, this is something that we BOTH wanted to add into the decree, not just one of us.

I would be surprised if you aren't the female he wants around his child. No, she can't prevent him from having the child around "any females" unless a particular female can be shown to be unfit to be around minor children.

In a nutshell it is not a good idea to expose the kids to the parents love lives this early. BUT the mother probably cannot do much. She can ask that nobody from the opposite sex that is not related spend the night and the same provision would apply to her as well. Who knows if she would get this.
