I have received a huge legal bill. The last billing was sent to me in mid-2007, and was paid in full. The original contract I signed with the attorney - when he was working with another law firm - states that he would be billing me on a regular basis,especially if there were no funds held by him in reserve. This he did not do for over twelve months. The attorney did not provide a new contract when he changed firms. How can I dispute the bill? Was the attorney in violation of the contract?
