Did Former President Barack Hussein Obama Foment a Nasty Scandal?

Former President Barack Hussein Obama Might Have Been a Naughty Lad.

President Donald Trump did not hold back in his latest remarks, pointing to former President Barack Obama as the perpetrator of 2016 election fraud and putting the cloud over his White House successor by coordinating the "coup" attempt.

"He's guilty," Trump told reporters in off-the-cuff remarks from the Oval Office during a Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visit.

"This is treason.

"This was every word you can think of. They tried to steal the election. They tried to obfuscate the election.

"They did things that nobody's ever even imagined, even in other countries.

"You've seen some pretty rough countries," Trump continued, turning to Marcos Jr. "This man has seen some pretty rough countries, but you've never seen anything like it. And we have all of the documents."

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has outlined the roadmap for investigating the Russian collusion conspiracy all the way up to Obama, with potentially more to come.

"From what Tulsi told me, she's got thousands of additional documents coming," Trump continued. "So President Obama, it was his concept, his idea. But he also got it from Crooked Hillary Clinton – crooked as a $3 bill.

"Hillary Clinton and her group, the Democrats, spent $12 million to Christopher Steele to write up a report that was a total fake report. Took two years to figure that out, but it came out that it was a total fake report.

"It was made up fiction, and they used that. The one thing they weren't able to do was to — and probably the only thing I respect about the press in years — is the press refused to write it before the election.

"They refused to put it in. The Steele report was a disaster. All lies, all fabrication, all admitted and admitted fraud."

Trump added the allegation that the investigation Obama — who once joked he would fancy an opportunity to pull the White House puppet strings from behind an earpiece — will ultimately go through the 2020 election into 2024 and beyond with the former President Joe Biden autopen.

"This is like proof, irrefutable proof that Obama was seditious, that Obama was trying to lead a coup," Trump said. "And it was with Hillary Clinton, with all these other people. But Obama headed it up. And, you know, I get a kick when I hear everyone talks about people I've never even heard of. It was this one.

"No, no, it was Obama. He headed it up and it says so right in the papers. Got everything, got everything. This is the biggest scandal in the history of our country. And it really goes on to even the autopen."

Trump said the case is in the hands of Gabbard's releases and eventually the Justice Department, but added he wants to see "very severe consequences" for all of the election fraudsters.

"What they did to this country in 2016, starting in 2016, but going up all the way, going up to 2020 and the election, they tried to rig the election and they got caught," Trump concluded. "And there should be very severe consequences for that.

"You know, when we caught Hillary Clinton, I said, you know what? Let's not go too far here. It's the ex-wife of a president. And I thought it was sort of terrible. And I let her off the hook, and I'm very happy I did."

As reported by the Reuters wire service, the office of Barack Obama said Tuesday that documents from Gabbard did "not undercut the conclusion that Russia tried to influence the 2016 U.S. election but that it did not manipulate any votes."

Said the statement: "Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes."

Nonetheless, Trump said the gloves are off after the lawfare he had faced from the same Obama-guided group.

"But it's time to start, after what they did to me, and whether it's right or wrong, it's time to go after people," Trump said. "Obama's been caught directly. So people say, 'oh, you know, a group.'

"It's not a group, it's Obama. His orders are on the paper. The papers are signed. The papers came right out of their office. They sent everything to be highly classified.

"Well, the highly classified has been released. And what they did in 2016 and in 2020 is very criminal. It's criminal at the highest level. So that's really the things you should be talking about."

That's really rich coming from a guy who tried to overturn his loss to Biden by, among other things, asking his Vice President to rig the electoral vote count to give him the win.

This line of his quoted in the Newsmax article is quite interesting — "But it's time to start, after what they did to me, and whether it's right or wrong, it's time to go after people". In that statement he's confirmed what a number of his critics have said about Trump for years. For Trump, the end justifies the means, even if the means are illegal or unethical. He'll do anything at all that he thinks he can get away with to get what he wants and he doesn't mind breaking the law or hurting other people along the way.

I said earlier on these boards that Trump needs to focus on the present and the future, not his lingering grievances of wrongs, real or imagined, about things others did to him. The job of the president is (at least when done right) stressful and demanding. There is never enough time for a president to do all of what they want to do to make the country better. By spending time brooding over these grievances he's wasting a lot of that valuable time. His best revenge, IMO, is to take the job seriously and do a better job than Biden and Obama. Going down in history as great president would be a much more satisfying and long lasting accomplishment than the fleeting news coverage he gets from his attacks on others. Focus on what's really important and let the other stuff go. Unfortunately, Trump is not the sort to ever get over his grudges and that's going to hold him back.

Humans can't help themselves, they're flawed, fragile, and very often looney as a Canadian Loon.

Yet, many seem bound and determined to self destruct.

I've often observed humans doing more harm to themselves and others, by piling on, by blabbing. If only humans could learn to shut that pie hole, rather than spewing "emesis" everywhere. Heck, many humans do nothing, other than constantly howl, kvetch, and whine. Human misbehavior makes me weary.

A return to some basic civility would go a long way to ease that weariness. This century American culture seems to view civility as some kind of weakness. It's just the opposite. Those who can remain civil while others around them are tossing all kinds of slurs their are the ones with real strength. Humans find taking revenge and attacking others very tempting. I don't have it in front of me to link but I read an interesting article of a study that concluded that revenge is more addictive than any drug. That may explain why some politicians can't seem to stop attacking each other. Once they get started they get hooked on it and can't stop.

Don't know but that video is FUNNY.

The South Park creators have always been good at skewering the rich and famous for their bad behavoir, big egos, and general cluelessness of the real world. Even when I like the person they are mocking I still find their wit pretty funny. That's why the show has lasted as long as it has.

I like the fact that South Park is created in my home state (there is even a real South Park in Colorado, though it's not a town. It's an open air museum in Fairplay Colorado) and a lot of what you see on the show in terms of location references are about the Fairplay and Conifer areas for the small mountain pieces and of course the Denver, Ft. Collins, and Colorado Springs areas for the big city pieces. The well known Casa Bonita episode fairly captures what the real Casa Bonita restaurant in the Denver area is like. It's actually more of an entertainment venue than restaurant. If you go just for the food you'll be very disappointed. Denver has some great Mexican and Latin American restaurants but you won't find Casa Bonita on that list. I probably find the show funnier than people in other places because I recognize the parodies they do of places I know that would slip by anyone who hasn't been there.

Trump isn't the first celebrity to be outraged at how he's portrayed in the show, and hopefully won't be the last. I think the show still has some steam left in it to go a few more years. It may never beat the current champ in the animated show category for longevity, though. That champ is an animated program started in East Germany in 1959 and is still being produced today, with a catalog of over 21,000 episodes. This is the kind of trivia I learn from having relatives who are animators, or the more preferred title, graphic artists. :D

Casa Bonita, had one in Little Rock, AR that I grew up with. I remember the little flags for sopapillas and getting tickets for the Treasure Room.

What memories that was, the creators bought Casa Bonita and brought it back in Denver. I wish they would bring them back everywhere. They had one in OKC, Tulsa, Ft. Worth and Little Rock. If I remember correctly.

Politicians are people, too.

Bottom line, revenge is often sought not only by politicians, but by human beings. Human beings are remiss, insofar as forgiving and forgetting; not just politicians. Heck, you see it among children, teenagers, even senior citizens.
