My son was diagnosed with Unilateral Cleft Lip/Complete Palate and will need multiple surgeries, including specialty care such as speech therapy, etc

He is only 1 month old and we just met with the Cleft Team director yesterday. We are just now beginning to make appointments to get evaluations from the surgeon, dentist, etc. In other words, we don't have specific dates for any of the surgeries/hospital visits, follow up office visits or any other appointments other than the evaluation.

My husband's HR denied his FMLA request because they said they need specific dates. Dates that we CANNOT produce because each appointment/surgery/office visit depends on the previous one.

Is there a way we can appeal?
