I have been denied unemployment benefits after I was terminated from where I worked bt the state of texas. They gave 2 descriptions of why I am disqualified and neither of them relate to the reason stated by my former employer. It has been 5 weeks and now I run the risk of loosing my autos since I can not pay rent and feed my family. I have appealed the decision and submitted proof of their error with no reply in 10 days. What are my alternatives if denied again when they are at fault ?

What was the reason your employment terminated, and what reasons did the UI office give for denying benefits?

Without knowing that, we really can't say what other options you may have.

The reason of termination was due to not obtaining a C water license in a 1 year period, and I have one more attempt at it. UI Stated work related misconduct, and failure to keep my occupational license in force. I never had the license, I was trying to get it. Work related misconduct is absurd due to the fact my supervisor stated that is the only reason for dismissal, my work and attendance are great. Strange when I have one more attempt in 2 months.
