Deliberate misspelled Name

Someone has deliberately misspelled my name in an important document. What is this called and can I take this person to Court.

What is this called and can I take this person to Court.

I call that a MISTAKE.

I used to make many of them.

Have you ever made a mistake?

I would hope that for a SPELLING MISTAKE no one could end up in prison.

Thankfully no state government in the USA, not even the federal government has outlawed SPELLING mistakes.

why do you think they did it deliberately and what do you think they had to gain by doing so?

why did you not immediately correct it or ask them to? If you did, what did they say?

Better still, if you take it into court the burden will be on you to prove that it was done deliberately and could not possibly have been a mistake. How do you plan to prove that?
