Hello, me and my fiance need some questions answered asap regarding an upcoming court date. His lawyer told us he could get a deferred adjudication, meaning no jail time for embelzellment charge. We need to know what exactly a deferred adjudication is and will this affect his sponsoring me into the USA (I am Canadian). How long will this stay on his record? Is it fairly easy to have it removed? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
