Is there anything that can be done legally concerning an ex-husband who is slandering you to someone you are going out with? My ex was very unhappy with our settlement and has threatened to tell anyone I go out with that I am a "gold-digger", just out for money, etc. Can anything be done about this?

Probably not. His slander has to hurt you financially in some way. Your boyfriend or whoever it is you are dating does not have to talk to him or listen to him.

People slander each other all the time, its part of freedom of speech. It is not against the law. You have to prove a financial loss basically to sue him for anything and win.
