My Grandmother And Grandfather Purchased A Home Togther In The 1950's Where They Both Were Listed As Joint Tenants Deed. In 1979 My Gm Died. Sometime Later My Gf Quit Deeded The Property Over To Their Daughter Which Is My Mother. They Were Under The Impression That Since My Grandmother Was Deceased That Her Name Would Automatically Drop Off The Title. But Instead It Remained On The Title I Guess As Her Estate Along With My Mothers Name Which Was Their Only Child. About Ten Years Later My Gf Died. Neither Of Which Had A Will When They Passed. So The Deed Is In My Mothers And Deceased Gm's Name. My Mother Has Given Me The Property Verbally, But We Do Not Know How To Go About Transferring The Property On Paper Being That My Deceased Gm's Name Is On The Title. I Need To Know Is This Something We Can Do Ourselves; Or Do We Need An Attorney. If We Can Do It Ourselves (preferably). How Do We Go About It?
