Were you involved in an accident while driving one of their vehicles?

Having driven cabs. Each company has their own policy applicable to handling vehicle damages. Where I worked decades ago, we called it the Fender fund. Each day we worked, $3 was put aside from our earnings under our name to provide for repairs in the event we had an accident. If we quit before having an accident, we received the money back. Policy is policy and though you may have agreed verbally to a particular one, that does not mean your states laws permit it. Expect to be fired if you challenge it.

Not sure why, or how they could charge you the deductible since they were driving.
