Decree Modification And Bankruptcy

I have a question my exhusband has filed bankruptcy and has within the last month decided to move from state of VA to state of TX now the issue is that we have not lived in same state for 10 years so obviously some modifications need to be made to the order but i am being told because of his bankruptcy NOTHING can be done to modify the order. This is not involving money but just simply drop off and pick up locations and things of that sort. Does anyone know anything about this?

That sounds odd. I'd call an attorney. Many will provide a brief free consult to ask your question. Bankruptsy law is complicated, was your advisor an attorney?

yes the advisor was my family law attorney and he has never dealt with a case like this before.
