Help please. My mother had cancer and died in June. Before she died, she decided to lease her house, which started in March. The tenant has not paid rent for August, stated they were going to move out 1 week ago but has not yet moved. She was also 3 days late on July's rent. I am not on the lease as a landlord and I do not live in the city where my mother died and the house is. My name is not on the deed to the house and my mother was not done paying on the house to complete ownership. How can I remove this person from the property for failure to pay rent? Can I legally do so?

The administrator of her estate can bring an eviction proceeding against the freeloaders. That's the only legal way to get them out.
