daughter hurt on carnival ride

my daughter was hurt while riding the merry go round at a local festival..the pole of the horse came apart from the bottom of the ride and threw her around and badly bruised her leg.we took her to the hospital to make sure nothing was broke and it was just bruised but not only is her leg bruised but this 9 year old girl was terrified and said she will never ride another ride again..the amusement ride insurance company is working her claim..my question is...when the adjuster calls what do i say and what kind of settlement will she get for an accident like this..we have never experienced anything like this and dont know what to do..thanks
