    Can the DA's office file a criminal case against you without letting you know what evidence they have against you? Without even questioning you about the charges?

    You find out about their evidence as a result of discovery prior to trial.

    Absolutely. And in many states criminal discovery is limited by statutes. Its hard to tell for your state because you did not list that state.
