I have a girlfriend and she has three kids, their father has nothing to do with them i want to get custody of them. what do i need to do? Her daughter called her dad to talk to him and he told her not to bother calling him anymore, he wants nothing to do with them. I want to step up to the plate and be there for them and be the dad that they need in their life. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...... Ricky

you cant get custody. you are a legal stranger to your gf's children, and have no legal rights at all.

Are you and your girlfriend breaking up? You have no legal rights at all since you are not married and you are not the legal dad. You cannot ask for custody of kids you have no rights too.

You can talk to an attorney to see what they say but it is unlikely you will hear any good news.
