Me and my ex have been together for almost 8 years, out of that 8 years we have a son. He is now 5 years old.
We separated in 2007 because I found out that he was cheating on me and that he had gotten her pregnant.
We separated and tried, for our son's sake, to keep a decent relationship for our son's sake. I have our son most of the time, in the meantime, his dad has moved in with his girlfriend and they also now have a son together.
Recently, his dad has threatened to file for custody for our son. Will he win?
Also, he does not work full time and works the evening shift, so since he does not have fixed hours he comes over to drop off our son to school and then picks him up. But he is telling me that he will ask the court to ensure that I drop our son off to school and he will pick him up. The problem is I start work at 8:30 am and our son starts school at 9:10. I can't drop him off. I've been with my work for 3 years, same hrs. Can he do that? He said that he will ask the mediator to do that.
Would he also be able to get child support since I get paid a lot more? Or can I get child support?
Please help, this is really stressing me out.
