hello, my name is silver, i am trying to find out something. my fiance is 23 years of age, and has a 5month old daughter. his 20 year old ex girlfriend has custody rights, and my fiance has visitation and pays 400 a month childsupport. the courts said that he has unstable living situations and could not have custody because he has moved twice this year. his ex has no job, but somehow manages to hold her own place. my fiance pays for his daughters medicines, hospital expenses as well as child support, and anything his ex needs for his daughter. his ex is threatening him, harrassing him, and even harrassing me and his friends. she has pushed me, cursed at me, and threatened me. she sends him at least 50-100 text messages a day threatening to increase child support and put him in jail and all kinds of stuff. and gets him all worked up. my question is how is she fit to take care of her daughter living on her own, with no job? and my fiance does not have a lawyer, but she does. i want to help my fiance fight for custody, which is why i am on here trying to get information. he is thinking about contacting social services to investigate how she is getting her money. would that be a good first move? where do we start? please help me with some information. right now, my fiance holds a steady job, and he lives with his parents. is there anyway he could show that his living is better than hers? thank you.

Your fiancee should just grow a backbone to her and ingore her. He can block her text messages. He has no case to call social services-they will only investigate if the child is being abused or neglected. It will make him look bad if he files a report that likely is going to come back unsubstantiated.

your fiancee had a baby with this woman so now he has to deal with her. If CS was calculated inputing an income for her, she is free not to work. She very likely cannot increase child support if she does not have as job.

He can talk to an attorney to see what chances he has of custody but it might not be very good.
