criminal mischief charge Sentencing, Plea Bargains

I have recently been charged with criminal mischief. I broke a window of a tenants apt. The tenant was told by the landlord to call police. Out of guilt I went to the state police barracks and confessed. The officer filed a complaint and read me my rights. I contacted the landlord to pay for the damages and to apologize. He said he would go to court with me because i was honest he didn't want me to get a criminal record. Do i need a lawyer also, or is this enough to dismiss the charges.
