A creditor has written up a writ of garnishment on a case in court against me. The original case was back in 2006. The creditor's attorney didn't file a judgment against me in the allowable time frame. I got a letter from the court that the judgment wasn't filed against me in the correct time frame and the case was dismissed. On the writ, it says a judgment was filed against me in the case on July 20, 2007. Can they file a judgment on a case that was dismissed because of lack of filing a judgment in time. Are they just trying to rattle my cage? They sent the writ to my former employer, which just happens to be my Dad. They seem to be just trying to embarass me with my parents. At this time, I am way past the embarassment stage and want to work may way out of my financial situation with the help of my debt relief agency. Don't they have to go to court again to so they can file a judgment?
