What rights do I have in having a newspaper I write for remove some articles from their website?
I file a 1099 and write regularly (biweekly) but sometimes I miss publication dates. I'm assuming that I would fit under the independent contractor status. They did not make me sign a "work for hire" contract or application. Based on some websites I'm reading, I would assume that I own the copyright to my articles.
Would I have the right to ask them to remvove two articles of mine from their website?
