I just verbally was interviewed and signed up for my daughter to compete at Talent Rock in Florida in December. I gave verbal permission to take the downpayment by using my credit card. I have since discovered that this may be a scam and that they haven't fufilled what they promised other contestents such as exposure to top names in the music industry, as well as a 50% call back from one of their events. They recorded my agreement on the phone. Can I legally get my money back and if I cancel the credit card and not pay any more can they sue me for the rest even though I discovered that they are quite likely a scam? I am suppose to be making payments monthly until November.
