Compensation for one kidney

I joined the U.S. Navy in 1980 and retired, Honorably, in 1998. I recently found out (12/2012) that I have only one kidney. This is ( or was) a disqualifying medical condition for entry into the service. Should I seek any type of compensation for this?

I "doubt" it since you or no one else it seems knew you only had one kidney.

Why would the Navy (or anyone else for that matter), owe you a dollar because you were born with one kidney?

Hundreds of people are born with one kidney.

The Navy didn't cause you lose your kidney.

Nor do you appear to have suffered any damages due to their accepting you despite your having only one kidney (which neither you nor they knew about).

No, they do not owe you a dime of compensation.
