Company car hit me , what are my options

I was in a auto accident.. I was driving a company car on the clock. Another company car hit me. Workmams comp is sending me to doctors and paying my time off. I contacted a lawyer for a civil suit against the company that hit me. The lawyer continues to force me to get "one of his" workmans comp lawyers to handle that case then after thats done he will help me witht the civil case. Why is he pushing that I get a workmans comp lawyer above all else. Do I need one to have a civil case? I want to be compensated for my pain and suffering which is why I contacted a civil lawyer. Am I doing this all wrong or is my lawyer right.. am I getting more money having 2 claims ?? I dont understand
