We have a Private Community Boat Dock with (7) owners. As captain of the boat dock I am responsible to make sure all adhere to the rules and regulations of the Corps of Engineers to get our Shoreline Permit for our dock.
Some of the rules are:
you must carry insurance on your slip
no unregistered boats not belonging to our are not to be moored in the dock
We have one owner who is refusing to carry insurance, letting friends and friends of friends store there boats in our dock. Recently having an illegal fishing tournament run off our dock with up to 40 persons on the dock at once.
How can we inforce our legal rights because this person is exposing the other 6 owners to Liability? Before I start all kinds of problems getting the Corps of Engineers involved, what language can be legally used to inforce our rights as a community dock and not a public dock??
