My ex-husband has left the country and has not paid any child support or court ordered costs. How can I collect if he claims he has no assets under his name. He has a company but he has it listed under a family member to avoid any situations like this. I am financially drained because he has ignore my lawyers letters, emails. How can I prove he is the owner of this company and collect?

Q: How can I prove he is the owner of this company and collect?

A: Hire a lawyer.

I would like to hire a lawyer however, the lawyer costs from my divorce has drained me and I am in debt. My ex-husband got a share of my assets, he has arranged his assets to show that he doesn't have any under his personal name but operate primarily from a company which he arranged to be own by family. Is there a way I can put a lien on his company (I did locate an inactive company under his name) but for his company that he "operates" under, how can I prove this without the help of a lawyer? It's very frustrating as he is mocking the situation while I have to raise my daughter alone because he refuse to take responsibility.
