I am being sued in court by a law firm.( the judgement was served by an attorneys's on behalf of a creditor). I have a chronic, debilitating conndition and have recently experienced hard times. I simply cannot afford to pay this debt. What are my alternatives. I had previously agreed to make monthly payments but just recently became aware that over half of what I have already paid went to interest only, I not making any headway with this debt and I do not have the resources to pay it completely. The settlement amount is more than the actual credit amount. Please help

Talk to the attorney and show him that your current financial situation does not allow you to sustain an installment plan in order to fulfill your commitment to pay the debt.
