Claim on Townhome with no HOA

My insurance company stopped payment on the check for my recent claim and now are saying they cannot approve said claim until I provide them with a copy of HOA Bi-laws as that is their policy. The fact that there is no HOA associated with my townhome doesn't matter to them and I am still being asked to provide this information. This is the same insurance company I have used since purchasing my townhome in 2007 and had a previous claim with in 2011, without issue. My question is how do I prove there is no HOA?

Have you looked at your deed?

Have you reviewed your other purchase documents?

The information should be found on the documents you possess.

Thank you for your speedy response! I browsed through my purchase paperwork and found that it does list No HOA on the property description page. I have forwarded a copy to my adjuster and awaiting response.

Thanks again! Common sense alluded me in my irritation with the situation.

The request for the bylaws may have been out of line, but I'll defer my comments until you come back with the result after submitting your purchase documents.
