Child Support

I am a 49 year old male and have been married for 11 years. We have 8 & 10 year old daughters. My wife works and I get a small disability check that will run out in Dec. In July, my wife walked out and moved to her mothers on the other side of town. I have custody of our daughters. My wife will call 2 or 3 times a week to talk to the girls, and my oldest will sometimes spend a Fri night with her. Since she has been gone, she has provided 0 support for our daughters. Can I get child support without a legal separation? How can I get court action when I can't afford anything? And, lastly, do I have to allow my wife to see and/or talk to my daughters if she is not providing support?

You should call legal aid to see if they can help you. You will probably need to file for divorce and child support, and custody. Why would you not allow your wife to see the kids? do you really think that is good for them? until a court says otherwise her rights are equal to yours. Have you applied for permanent disability through SS? Once you get approved you'll get a benefit for the kids.
