child support

In 1990 my father was ordered to pay child support to my mother for four kids, myself and my three younger brothers. He paid support for about a year, my three youmger brothers went to live with him in 1991 and he then stopped making payments that were suppose to be made to me. I was 12 at that time and I want to know if I can pursue back child support for the 6 years that he didnt pay?

I don't know what state you are in. Various states have child support enforcement agencies, for example the department of social services. Other more difficult remedies including filing a civil action for back child support.

Note: My understanding is that several statutes do not give the children the right to sue for the support, only the custodial parent.
