Child support for special needs child

My husband and I have decided to divorce. We have one child, age 7. He has Down syndrome. How will his special needs effect child support? Will my husband be required to pay past the age of 18?

You will have to google the state guidelines. Some states allow for CS past 18 for special needs. You will evnetually get a SS benefit for the child so that may offset support a bit. I am in AZ, and my SIL has a DS child. She did not get CS past 18. Every state is different though.
