my 4 year old child while playing in the yard strayed into the neighbors yard. the neighbors house is currently vacant due to the owners being in a nursing home. there is a large pile of charred debris and broken glass within 5 feet of the property line from the owners middle aged children burning junk left in the house.. my child suffered a severve laceration to her finger and required hospital care and many follow up visits. she will probably be scarred for life. my question is: does the other property owner have any legal obligation to pay hospital/doctor bills. i would assume the owner of the house has no idea what condition the property has been left in by their children. this happened in ohio
